TDI Evaluation - June 20
FVDTC will be hosting a TDI (Therapy Dog International) Therapy Dog Test and Evaluation on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 7:00 pm (during the June Fun Match) at the Kane County Fairgrounds. Registration is limited to seven dog/handler teams.
The TDI organization has made the following changes to their policies in which all new 2024 applicants should be aware.
Visiting Children
All applicants new to the program must wait one year before visiting children. Additionally prior to visiting with children, a specialized “Visiting with Children” test must be taken and passed. However, we cannot provide you with the testing requirements for this new test until it is released to the evaluators at the end of this year.
Liability Insurance
All TDI Handlers must carry their own general liability insurance as their primary insurance. The insurance provided by TDI is an Excess Volunteer Liability policy, which means they are a secondary insurance.
For more information, including how to register, please contact Dianne Herold.
